Job Description

IQVIA is seeking a Clinical Specialist Consultant for a part-time remote position, requiring fluency in both Kannada and English. The role involves reviewing scales administered by raters in clinical trials to ensure assessments are conducted in a standardized manner, ensuring data reliability. The Clinical Specialist will evaluate the quality of assessments and interact live with raters to discuss assessment methodology, scoring techniques, and provide necessary guidance. Other responsibilities may include functional assessments of rater performance and assisting with communication preparation and dissemination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review Scales: Evaluate scales administered by raters to ensure consistency and reliability in clinical assessments.

  • Rater Interaction: Conduct live discussions with raters to ensure standardized assessment procedures and provide feedback on assessment methodology and scoring techniques.

  • Assess Rater Performance: Conduct mock interviews or other assessments to evaluate rater performance.

  • Training & Calibration: Participate in orientation, training, and calibration activities as required.

  • Data Evaluation & Preparation: Prepare for discussions with raters by evaluating case data and ensuring necessary documents are available.

  • Documentation: Ensure timely submission of all documentation related to assigned tasks.

  • Language Fluency: Fluency in both English and Kannada is required for this role to ensure smooth communication with the trial team and participants.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Master's degree (MA/MS) in Psychology, Counseling, Psychiatric Nursing, Social Work, or an equivalent field.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience administering psychiatric assessments, rating scales, or structured clinical interviews.

    • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience with psychiatric populations.

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience administering scales in clinical research trials (excluding graduate/doctoral research).

    • Experience in central nervous system (CNS) trials is preferred.

  • Skills:

    • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of interacting professionally with all levels of personnel and clients.

    • Excellent organizational, attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills.

    • Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
