🧭 Position Overview

The Clinical Trial Educator (CTE) provides education and guidance on clinical trial inclusion/exclusion criteria for trial coordinators, healthcare providers, and referring physicians. The role supports patient recruitment, develops referral networks, and collaborates with CRAs and other field-based medical teams to optimize trial execution.

This is a field-based role requiring up to 75% nationwide travel.


⚙️ Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver in-service presentations to healthcare providers and trial staff to support patient enrollment.

  • Collaborate with CRAs and field-based teams to develop tailored recruitment strategies.

  • Develop and maintain referral networks with physicians and relevant support groups.

  • Conduct patient recruitment activities including referral outreach, chart reviews, and data abstraction.

  • Coordinate cross-functional tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Travel frequently (up to 75%), including overnight stays, to support clinical trial sites.


🎓 Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree (minimum)

  • Clinical research experience

  • Active license/credential in one of the following:

    • MD – Medical Doctor

    • DO – Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine

    • RN – Registered Nurse

    • NP – Nurse Practitioner

    • PA – Physician Assistant

    • Pharmacist – RPh or PharmD

    • Occupational Therapist

    • Physical Therapist

    • Respiratory Therapist

Preferred:

  • Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC)

  • 2+ years as a Clinical Trial Educator or in healthcare education

  • Experience in community engagement and diversity in clinical trials

  • Business experience and customer service skills

  • Strong technology, administrative, and presentation skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication

  • Proven ability to execute referral outreach, chart reviews, and data abstraction
