Job Summary

Abbott is hiring a Clinical Site Lead for its Cardiovascular division based in Houston, TX. This critical field-based role offers the opportunity to lead site management activities across various cardiovascular therapies including Vascular, Cardiac Rhythm Management, EP, Structural Heart, and Heart Failure. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in interventional cardiology clinical research, ensuring adherence to ICH-GCP guidelines, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence in clinical trial execution.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain clinical territory for cardiovascular therapies in Texas and Oklahoma.

  • Identify, assess, and maintain high-quality clinical sites for successful study execution.

  • Lead site initiation, qualification, and start-up processes ensuring protocol compliance.

  • Train site personnel on protocol requirements, regulatory processes, and Abbott technologies.

  • Drive patient enrollment, manage site recruitment performance, and provide feedback for improvements.

  • Conduct monitoring visits including initiation, periodic, and close-out to ensure data accuracy and regulatory adherence.

  • Facilitate resolution of data discrepancies, queries, and ensure timely data entry and reporting.

  • Serve as clinical and technical expert for trial procedure support and product usage.

  • Collaborate with sales and commercial teams for new product education where appropriate.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of disease states, Abbott products, and relevant clinical trial procedures.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent work experience in life sciences or related field.

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant clinical trial experience in medical device or cardiovascular field.

  • Strong understanding of interventional cardiology and catheter lab procedures.

  • Working knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), FDA regulations, and clinical trial execution.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or medical field (RN, EMT, PA).

  • Competency in operating room/cath lab protocols and procedures.

  • Experience in cardiovascular clinical trials with increasing responsibility.
