This Clinical Scribe position is focused on enhancing the efficiency of healthcare providers by accurately documenting patient visits and procedures in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. While the role does not involve direct patient care, it plays a critical part in supporting the clinical team and ensuring accurate records are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Documentation: Accurately document patient history, physical exams, procedures, treatments, diagnoses, and provider instructions in the EMR during office visits.
  • Patient Interaction: Engage with patients professionally, including taking photos for the EMR and making follow-up calls as requested by the provider.
  • Administrative Support: Schedule reminder appointments, print and deliver After Visit Summaries (AVS) to patients, and maintain compliance with clinic policies.
  • Training & Template Management: Conduct training for new Clinical Scribes and maintain or update EMR templates for the clinical team.
  • General Clerical Tasks: Assist with other duties as assigned, ensuring accurate and efficient documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in typing, spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
    • Ability to listen to and summarize complex medical information.
    • Strong multitasking skills with a keen eye for detail.
    • Comfortable working with EMR software (training may be provided).
  • Communication: Strong oral communication skills to interact professionally with patients and staff.
  • Trustworthiness: Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

No Required Licensure/Certifications:

  • This role does not require any specific certifications, although proficiency with EMR software and strong documentation skills are crucial.
