Job Summary:

Fortrea, a global leader in Contract Research Organization (CRO) services, is hiring a Clinical Research Technician to join its Early Phase Clinical Research Unit in Madison, WI. This full-time, on-site role offers candidates a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of clinical trials, handling Phase 1 studies that help shape the future of medicine. The role involves direct interaction with healthy volunteers, exposure to diverse therapeutic indications, and cutting-edge clinical protocols, ensuring professional growth in clinical research and patient care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Directly interact with healthy volunteer participants in clinical trials.

  • Read and interpret clinical research protocols accurately.

  • Measure and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiratory rate.

  • Perform venipuncture and obtain biological samples per study protocols.

  • Prepare and accurately record ECGs/Holters.

  • Monitor participant meals for dietary compliance.

  • Assist with medical room and equipment preparation.

  • Support participant screening procedures as required.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work and study environment.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the study team.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • EMT, Phlebotomy, CMA, or CNA certification preferred.

  • 0–1 year of related healthcare or clinical experience.

  • Ability to function efficiently in a fast-paced, protocol-driven environment.

  • Strong adaptability to shifting priorities and tasks.

  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.

  • Comfortable working with electronic data collection systems and technology-based tools.
