Position Summary:

The Clinical Research Physician (CRP) / Clinical Research Scientist (CRS) - Oncology will play a key role within the Medical Affairs organization. As a therapeutically aligned scientist, this role will be responsible for leveraging expertise in oncology, available treatments, and investigational compounds to co-lead strategic and tactical planning with a cross-functional team. The CRP / CRS will work closely with commercial, market access teams, and government regulatory agencies. Additionally, they will contribute to pricing, reimbursement, medical education strategies, and the dissemination of scientific data. This is an office-based position located in São Paulo, Brazil.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Co-lead the strategic and tactical planning for the Oncology Therapeutic Area (TA), collaborating with internal teams.
  • Medical Education: Lead the planning and implementation of medical education strategies, data generation (including Real-World Evidence), and scientific disclosure.
  • Scientific Presentations: Deliver scientific, educational, and promotional presentations to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Expert Engagement: Maintain relationships with relevant scientific experts and professional societies within the oncology field.
  • Data Dissemination: Lead local scientific data dissemination efforts, present at conferences, and organize scientific advisory boards.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside cross-functional teams to contribute to the development of scientific content for educational programs and assist in internal training.
  • Regulatory Interaction: Engage with government agencies as needed, providing scientific expertise in meetings.

Basic Qualifications:

  • CRP: Medical Doctor (MD) degree with specialization or experience in oncology. A Master’s and/or PhD is a plus.
  • CRS: An advanced health/medical/scientific degree (e.g., DVM, PharmD, PhD, MSN) with 3-5 years of clinical or pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Language Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in English (reading, writing, and conversation).
  • Location: Must reside in São Paulo, SP (office-based position).
  • Experience: Previous experience in medical affairs within a pharmaceutical company (oncology experience preferred).

  • Commercial Acumen: Understanding of the business environment and ability to contribute to commercial and pricing strategies.
