As one of the world’s largest Clinical Research Organizations (CROs), we operate four Early Phase Clinical Research Units across the UK and US.

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to Phase I clinical trials, working closely with healthy volunteer participants and collaborating with leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies. You will be directly involved in assessing the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics of new investigational drugs.

Every day is different — you’ll gain hands-on experience across diverse therapeutic indications and study types, including:

  • Ascending dose studies

  • First-in-human trials

  • Food effect studies

  • Drug-to-drug interaction studies


💊 Role Overview

As a Clinical Research Nurse, you will combine your clinical skills, nursing judgment, and compassionate care to deliver high-quality healthcare within a research-focused environment.

This position allows you to:

  • Maintain face-to-face relationships with participants

  • Apply and expand your clinical knowledge

When a drug you’ve helped test is approved, you’ll know your work has impacted patients globally.


🩺 Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure participant dignity, safety, and well-being remain top priorities

  • Maintain current emergency certifications and follow emergency response procedures

  • Respond to emergencies using nursing standards and company protocols

  • Apply nursing assessment skills to monitor participant well-being and detect potential adverse events

  • Document and report adverse events appropriately

  • Obtain and maintain Informed Consent, educating participants about study procedures

  • Administer investigational compounds (including parenteral) per study protocol and regulations

  • Perform clinical procedures including:

    • Cannulation

    • Telemetry & Holter monitoring

    • Vital signs and ECG recording

    • Venipuncture

  • Ensure protocol compliance and high-quality data capture

  • Undertake additional duties as assigned


🎓 Education & Certifications

  • Required: Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

  • Licensure: Active Nursing License in the applicable state

  • Certifications:

    • CPR/AED – Required

    • ACLS – Preferred (can be obtained on the job)

💡 Additional experience may be substituted for formal education requirements.


💼 Experience

  • 0–1 year of relevant experience in a clinical or research setting

  • Prior exposure to Phase I trials or clinical research is advantageous
