Full-Time

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 10:30 AM - 6:30 PM, or 11:30 AM - 7:30 PM (Rotating)
  • Rotating Saturdays: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Rotating Sundays: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Compensation:

$56 to $67.25 per hour (Estimated pay)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate Medication Orders: Assess physician medication orders for appropriateness, including drug choice, dosage, potential interactions, and administration routes. Provide recommendations for therapy changes when necessary.
  • Patient/Resident Database Management: Maintain accurate patient/resident medical histories, clinical data, and medication records (including over-the-counter and home remedies).
  • Clinical Support: Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide clinical and technical support. Ensure that high-risk conditions are appropriately monitored and discussed with relevant team members.
  • Documentation: Record all communication with physicians, nurses, other healthcare professionals, and patients/residents in the medical record.
  • Policies and Procedures Implementation: Ensure the safe procurement, storage, distribution, and disposal of drugs. Assist in maintaining all required documentation in accordance with regulatory agencies.
  • Error Reporting: Inform the Pharmacy Manager of any medication-related errors and support staff in proper medication procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy; PharmD preferred.
  • Experience: At least one year of experience in long-term care preferred.
  • Licenses/Certifications: As required by state and federal regulations.
  • Skills: Detail-oriented, goal-oriented, strong oral communication, and a team player.
