Role Overview

The Clinical Medical Manager will be part of a high-performing Clinical Medical team, driving clinical development strategy and execution for Novo Nordisk’s pipeline in India. The role focuses on scientific engagement with Principal Investigators (PIs), trial site staff, and cross-functional teams to ensure clinical trial excellence and early portfolio development.


Key Responsibilities

Clinical Trial Excellence

  • Provide scientific and medical input for early trial planning, start-up, recruitment, and retention.

  • Monitor trial performance and proactively address scientific issues.

  • Engage with site staff to ensure compliance and smooth trial conduct.

  • Act as local subject matter expert on products and protocols.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain relationships with PIs and other key opinion leaders (KOLs).

  • Communicate pipeline and scientific narratives effectively to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Contribute to site selection, scientific training, and assessment of medical capabilities.

Organizational Readiness & Capability Building

  • Co-design and deploy scientific knowledge building for Clinical Operations.

  • Support early portfolio strategy, pre-launch planning, and capability development.

  • Introduce Medical Affairs colleagues to KOLs and new therapy areas.

Travel

  • Periodic travel to clinical trial sites within the assigned region and to the India Head Office as required.


Qualifications & Experience

  • M.B.B.S with M.D. in a relevant discipline with strong clinical practice or research background.

  • 4+ years’ experience in clinical or medical affairs strategic roles in the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines, regulatory requirements, clinical trial methodology, and pharmaceutical drug development.

  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Willingness to travel as per business needs.
