About the Role

As a Clinical Data Team Lead (CDTL) at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will play a vital role in managing and overseeing data management activities for clinical studies. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about advancing scientific research through meticulous data oversight and collaboration.

Key Focus: Lead data management for projects of limited volume or complexity, ensuring strict adherence to protocols, timelines, and client expectations.


Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership

  • Lead data management tasks for studies, ensuring smooth and accurate execution under established protocols.

  • Act as the primary data management liaison between the Project Lead, clients, and internal teams.

  • Facilitate interdepartmental communication to resolve study-related data issues efficiently.

Project Management and Execution

  • Develop and maintain project documentation, ensuring deliverables align with organizational standards.

  • Deliver study-specific training and manage team schedules to meet project deadlines.

  • Produce and present regular project status reports.

Client and Team Collaboration

  • Participate in business development activities, including bid preparation and representation at bid defense meetings.

  • Assist with project forecasting and identify resource needs, escalating potential out-of-scope activities to the Project Lead.

  • Mentor junior team members, providing guidance on tasks and professional growth.

Administrative and Financial Oversight

  • Support administrative and financial management for allocated projects, ensuring compliance with internal guidelines.


Education and Experience

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent formal academic qualification.

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in data management or a related field.

  • A combination of education, training, and relevant experience may also meet qualifications.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong command of interactive computer programs relevant to data management.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in English.

  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities, analyze problems, and deliver timely solutions.

  • Leadership: Capable of training and guiding study teams, as well as adjusting timelines and resources as needed.

  • Confidentiality: Proven ability to handle sensitive information responsibly.
