Clinical Data Coder 2 – Kochi (Hybrid)
Job Summary:
IQVIA is hiring a Clinical Data Coder 2 in Kochi to lead coding and data management activities for global clinical trials. The role involves coding using MedDRA, WHODD, and ICD9, ensuring data consistency, performing SAE reconciliation, and overseeing project delivery. This hybrid role is ideal for professionals with 4+ years of clinical trials data management experience who are skilled in coding medical data and managing study life cycles.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform coding activities using MedDRA, WHODD, ICD9, and other medical dictionaries.
Serve as Lead Coder or Coding Reviewer for multiple projects.
Oversee coding-related customer interactions, timelines, and budget discussions.
Manage coding deliverables through the full clinical study life cycle.
Conduct validation, testing of coding applications, and review of coded data.
Lead process improvements and develop best practices for coding operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address escalations and project roadblocks.
Perform Serious Adverse Event (SAE) reconciliation activities.
Support Data Operations Coordinator (DOC) or Data Team Lead (DTL) roles as needed.
Ensure compliance with SOPs, GVP guidelines, and clinical data management standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Pharmacy, Medical, Nursing, Life Sciences, or related degree.
4+ years of experience in clinical data management and coding.
Strong knowledge of MedDRA, WHODD, ICD9, and other coding dictionaries.
In-depth understanding of the drug development process and clinical trials.
Expertise in data management processes from study start-up to database lock.
Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently, lead teams, and ensure high data quality standards.
