Fortrea is seeking Clinical Call Center Representatives (On-Call) to support participant recruitment for Phase 1 healthy volunteer studies. In this role, you will manage incoming and outgoing calls, screen potential participants, schedule screening appointments, and ensure accurate documentation. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with customer service or call center experience who want to contribute to clinical research operations.

Training Requirement:
Mandatory 4-week on-site training at our Dallas clinic, Monday–Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM CDT.


Key Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming and outgoing calls with potential study participants.

  • Enter medical history and demographic details into the clinical database.

  • Explain study information clearly and professionally to participants.

  • Conduct phone screenings using study-specific scripts.

  • Schedule and confirm screening appointments for eligible participants.

  • Respond to participant inquiries, including those received via the Fortrea CRU email account.

  • Coordinate with the screening department to ensure smooth recruitment processes.

  • Provide recommendations to improve call handling and recruitment workflows.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications (Minimum Required)

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (USA).

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

  • Excellent computer proficiency.

  • Bilingual ability in Spanish is preferred.


Experience Required

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in customer service, call center operations, or related roles.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred but not mandatory.


Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Primarily a desk-based role requiring extended periods of sitting.

  • Must be comfortable handling high call volumes in a fast-paced clinical environment.
