Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated professional to provide essential data management expertise to our Clinical Data Management (CDM) team. In this role, you will help deliver efficient, high-quality data management solutions that meet customer needs. You may also take on team leadership responsibilities under the guidance of the Data Operations Coordinator (DOC), Data Team Lead (DTL), or Functional Manager.

Essential Functions

  • Serve as a Data Operations Coordinator (DOC) for one protocol involving fewer than five operations staff (excluding Data Engineers) or manage up to 15 easy to moderately complex central laboratory studies.
  • Take a leadership role in specific data management tasks (e.g., coding, testing, or database design) with appropriate support.
  • Act as a backup for a DOC or DTL as needed.
  • Conduct data reviews and write/resolve data clarifications.
  • Lead the database audit team when necessary.
  • Develop and test databases, as well as create edit specifications.
  • Test programming and perform clinical data coding.
  • Understand and comply with core operating procedures and working instructions, and meet assigned objectives.
  • Foster effective communication and strong working relationships within the CDM team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in clinical, biological, or mathematical sciences, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience).
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is essential.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and proactively resolve problems.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients.
