Client Service Director – Medical & Scientific Communications

Job Summary

IQVIA’s Simpson Healthcare team is hiring a Client Service Director to manage high-impact scientific communications projects for pharmaceutical clients. In this fully remote role, you will lead client relationships, oversee internal project delivery teams, and ensure execution of strategy and brand vision across therapeutic areas—especially in oncology and life sciences. Ideal for professionals with experience in medical communications agencies or pharmaceutical marketing, this position blends strategic oversight with project execution to ensure client satisfaction and scientific accuracy.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full lifecycle of client projects, ensuring timely, on-budget, and scientifically accurate deliverables

  • Coordinate internal teams across scientific content, digital media, and marketing functions

  • Deliver client presentations and lead meetings with brand strategy and performance updates

  • Maintain regular contact with clients to ensure satisfaction and alignment with project goals

  • Develop SOPs and enforce process standards across project teams

  • Train and mentor junior staff members and manage internal communications

  • Recruit and manage faculty/KOL engagement on behalf of client

  • Assist with new client pitches, proposals, and performance reporting

  • Represent the Simpson Healthcare brand across all client-facing materials and interactions


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences agency roles

  • 1+ year of pharma/healthcare promotional experience preferred

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Science, Business, or Marketing

  • Oncology therapeutic experience is a plus

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience with Veeva highly preferred

  • Knowledge of Basecamp or other project management tools

  • Strong communication, leadership, and client management skills

  • Ability to travel occasionally (up to 25%)
