Position Summary

As a Client Service Director, you will manage client relationships, oversee account strategy, and ensure timely and effective project delivery. You will serve as a key liaison between clients and internal departments, facilitate scientific content development, and lead a cross-functional project team. The role also requires mentoring junior staff and maintaining compliance with internal SOPs.


Key Responsibilities

πŸ”Ή Project Management

  • Oversee all aspects of assigned projects and client accounts

  • Coordinate scientific and interactive content with subject matter experts

  • Prepare and deliver client presentations and strategic communications

  • Monitor timelines, project quality, SOP adherence, and budgets

  • Ensure alignment with client strategy and expectations

  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members

  • Ensure strong internal team hand-offs and collaboration

  • Lead project meetings using company SOPs and systems:

    • PIT Crew

    • Basecamp

    • CCR

    • Good to Go

    • Weekly Update Meetings

  • Develop working knowledge of disease areas and product portfolios

  • Assist with development of client pitches and strategic proposals

  • Oversee faculty engagement and speaker recruitment

  • Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure satisfaction

  • Plan, lead, and document client status/update meetings

  • Gather and synthesize client feedback for internal implementation

  • Collaborate across departments: Scientific Services, Interactive, Marketing

  • Track opportunities, milestones, and client service needs

  • Establish meaningful relationships with client stakeholders

  • Understand client preferences, motivators, and desired outcomes

  • Ensure Simpson’s brand is upheld in all client interactions

  • Provide data-driven service and ensure efficient, high-quality delivery


Qualifications & Requirements

πŸŽ“ Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferred fields: Marketing, Business, Science)

πŸ’Ό Experience

  • 3+ years in the pharmaceutical industry or healthcare/life sciences agency

  • 1+ year in a pharmaceutical/healthcare promotional role (preferred)

  • Oncology experience is a plus

🧠 Skills & Tools

  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent project and time management capabilities

  • Client relationship-building and problem-solving abilities

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)

  • Experience with Veeva (strongly preferred)

  • Familiarity with Basecamp or similar project management platforms

  • Capable of working with cross-functional teams to deliver client solutions

  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and solution-driven mindset


Travel Requirements

  • Up to 25% travel for client and stakeholder meetings


Compensation & Benefits

πŸ’° Annual Salary Range:
$61,200 – $153,000 (based on qualifications, experience, and location)
