Job Overview
We are seeking skilled Medical Coders – Surgery to join our Pune team as Client Partners. This role is ideal for professionals with expertise in surgical coding and healthcare revenue cycle management (RCM) who want to work closely with clients, contribute to revenue integrity, and grow their career in a high-impact environment.
As a Client Partner – Medical Coding (Surgery), you will ensure accurate coding of surgical procedures, maintain compliance with regulatory standards, and participate in initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and minimize revenue leakage.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately code medical records for surgical procedures using ICD-10, CPT-4, and HCPCS coding systems
Maintain 96% or higher coding accuracy while meeting turnaround time requirements
Exceed productivity standards as per inpatient and specialty-specific outpatient coding norms
Uphold professional and ethical standards in all coding activities
Participate in coding team meetings, educational sessions, and continuous improvement projects
Support initiatives to prevent revenue leakage while ensuring compliance with regulatory and client-specific guidelines
Update coding knowledge regularly to stay current with coding standards, auditing principles, and RCM best practices
Experience Required
1 to 4 years of experience in Medical Coding for Surgery specialty
Hands-on experience with CPT-4, ICD-9, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
Education & Certification
Mandatory: CCS, CPC, CPC-H, CIC, or COC certification from AAPC or AHIMA
Strong understanding of medical coding and billing systems, regulatory requirements, auditing concepts, and principles
Skills & Competencies
Excellent knowledge of surgical coding guidelines and RCM workflows
Strong analytical and detail-oriented approach
Ability to maintain high productivity while ensuring coding accuracy
Strong communication and collaboration skills for client-facing interactions
