Job Overview

We are hiring a Centralized Study Spec I – Clinical Invoicing professional to support global clinical operations through accurate, compliant, and timely invoicing activities. This role is ideal for candidates with strong financial analysis skills, clinical trial invoicing experience, and a high level of attention to detail. The position plays a key role in ensuring financial integrity across clinical studies while working closely with cross-functional stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute clinical study invoicing activities in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Analyze study budgets, margins, and billable rates to ensure financial accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.

  • Maintain and update invoicing and financial records in Fortrea Workday and other financial systems.

  • Handle confidential financial and contractual data with the highest standards of integrity and discretion.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and resolve invoicing discrepancies.

  • Prepare and maintain financial reports, trackers, and dashboards using advanced Microsoft Excel functionalities.

  • Support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance in invoicing operations.

  • Ensure adherence to internal SOPs, financial controls, and applicable regulatory requirements.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, and data analysis.

  • Solid understanding of clinical trial budgets, invoicing processes, margins, and billing rates.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • High level of attention to detail, organizational ability, and follow-up skills.

  • Proven ability to manage confidential and sensitive financial information responsibly.

  • Familiarity with Fortrea Workday or similar financial systems is preferred.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving mindset and proactive approach to work.


Experience Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in clinical invoicing, financial operations, business operations, or clinical trial finance.

  • Prior experience in clinical research organizations (CROs), pharmaceutical, or life sciences companies is highly preferred.

  • Exposure to global invoicing standards, compliance requirements, or multi-region clinical studies is an advantage.
