Axtria is seeking a Project Leader – Clinical Solutions CoE (Clinical Data Scientist) to lead and execute advanced data science initiatives across clinical trial data sources. The role involves data analysis, data mining, AI/ML/GenAI model development, and cloud-based scalable solutions to deliver high-impact insights in clinical R&D.
The ideal candidate will have deep experience in clinical data science, hands-on expertise with clinical trial and real-world data, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex data into actionable strategies.
6–10 years of hands-on experience in data analysis, data mining, predictive analytics, preferably in clinical R&D or life sciences organizations
Proven experience in clinical data sources including CTMS, EDC, IRT, laboratory data, EHR/RWD sources
Hands-on expertise with CDISC standards (CDASH, SDTM, ADaM, FHIR) and regulatory clinical data management
Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Life Sciences, or related fields
Strong clinical data science experience is essential for this role
Independently perform data analysis and mining across diverse clinical data sources
Develop, test, deploy, and maintain AI/ML/GenAI models for clinical insights
Apply statistical and probabilistic methods including SVM, Decision Trees, Bagging, Boosting, Clustering, and Time Series Analysis
Utilize NLP techniques such as Text Classification, Named Entity Recognition (NER), Topic Modeling, and Sentiment Analysis
Leverage cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for scalable data processing
Utilize Python/PySpark for model development; experience with Databricks or Dataiku DSS is a plus
Work with ML frameworks like TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn
Apply LLMs, LSTMs, GRUs, and Transformer models where applicable
Collaborate with clinical data engineers, modelers, developers, QA/CSV specialists, clinical SMEs, and project managers to deliver high-quality solutions
Maintain detailed documentation of methodologies, processes, and results
Prepare and present comprehensive reports to stakeholders, illustrating impact and effectiveness of data-driven strategies
Strong knowledge of clinical R&D processes and data technologies
Expertise in data curation, analysis, and visualization using SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools
Excellent communication skills to convey complex insights to non-technical stakeholders
Results-oriented mindset with the ability to define KPIs and measure outcomes
High ethical standards and commitment to regulatory compliance and data integrity
Experience collaborating with large, cross-functional teams using tools like GIT, Jira, and Confluence
