Job Summary:

ProRelix Research is seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Executive to join our dynamic team in Pune. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in business development, preferably in the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or clinical research sector. As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for driving growth, building relationships with clients, and identifying new business opportunities for the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client Relationship Management:

    • Identify, target, and engage new potential clients in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and clinical research sectors.
    • Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing clients and stakeholders.
    • Regularly meet with key clients to understand their needs and present solutions that align with ProRelix Research's services.
  2. Lead Generation and Prospecting:

    • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and potential clients.
    • Use various channels (e.g., cold calling, email campaigns, networking) to generate and qualify leads.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to create campaigns aimed at lead generation and increasing brand visibility.
  3. Proposal Development and Presentation:

    • Prepare customized proposals and presentations for potential clients, showcasing ProRelix Research's services, solutions, and expertise.
    • Present the company’s offerings to clients in a clear and compelling manner, addressing client needs and queries.
    • Negotiate and close deals effectively, ensuring client satisfaction and aligning with business goals.
  4. Business Strategy and Growth:

    • Assist in the development and execution of business development strategies to achieve growth targets.
    • Track and report on business development activities, including new client acquisition and revenue generation.
    • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive activities, and new market opportunities to drive business growth.
  5. Collaboration and Cross-Functional Coordination:

    • Work closely with the marketing, operations, and technical teams to ensure smooth coordination and effective delivery of services.
    • Assist with the creation of marketing materials and communication strategies that support business development efforts.
    • Provide feedback to the product development and management teams on client needs and market trends.
  6. Sales Reporting and Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, including lead status, client communications, and deal progress.
    • Provide regular reports on business development activities and pipeline status to senior management.
    • Prepare sales forecasts and track progress toward achieving business development goals.
  7. Market and Competitor Analysis:

    • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of market trends, competitors, and potential partners.
    • Analyze competitors’ offerings and market positioning to identify opportunities for differentiation and growth.
    • Keep up to date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Educational Qualification:

    • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, or a related field.
    • A master’s degree or additional business development certifications will be an advantage.
  • Experience:

    • At least 2 years of experience in business development, preferably in the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or clinical research industry.
    • Previous experience in handling client interactions, proposal preparation, and negotiations is a must.
  • Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of business development processes, sales techniques, and client relationship management.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas to clients.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM tools.
    • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills with the ability to close deals.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and creativity.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • High degree of self-motivation, goal-oriented, and results-driven.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
