Position Summary

As an Auxiliary Pharmacist (Assistant Pharmacist), you will be responsible for releasing shipments for distribution while ensuring full compliance with local health regulations, internal guidelines, and industry standards. You will support depot operations under the supervision of the Depot Pharmacist, Depot Manager, or Clinical Team Leader.


Key Responsibilities

  • Verify and sign operational jobs under supervision (Depot Manager, Team Leader, or Depot Pharmacist).

  • Release shipments for distribution under supervision of a Depot Pharmacist.

  • Manage physical and system-based changes to product status per client instructions and internal guidelines.

  • Conduct quality checks on relabeling processes (in absence of or as appointed by the Local Quality Representative).

  • Maintain deep knowledge of all protocols stored at the WC Depot and provide instructions to depot staff.

  • Act as Deputy Depot Pharmacist, as needed, supporting operational activities based on local legislation.

  • Ensure compliance with local health regulations, ICH, GMP, GCP, GDP, and World Courier internal guidelines.

  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) from product reception through final delivery/shipment.

  • Perform self-inspections to ensure facility compliance with WC SOPs.

  • Identify and report personnel-related scheduling or workflow issues.

  • Perform additional duties as trained and assigned.


Requirements

Education

  • Tertiary qualification (e.g., Diploma or equivalent) in pharmaceutical services.

  • Required training must align with local regulations permitting the responsibilities outlined.

Experience

  • Preferred: Some experience in warehousing and/or dispensing.


Skills & Competencies

Technical & Industry Skills

  • Knowledge of import/export processes and related regulations.

  • Familiarity with pharma warehousing and clinical distribution practices.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook.

Soft Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and initiative-taking abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and within tight schedules.

  • Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail.

  • Calm, customer-focused approach.

  • Fluent in English (written and verbal).
