Role Overview:
The CTF Delivery & Performance Analytics role sits within the Clinical Trial Foundations (CTF) team, part of Clinical Design, Delivery & Analytics (CDDA). CTF is responsible for leading strategy and development of contemporary clinical trial processes, technologies, and capabilities. This position will contribute to advancing clinical trial delivery and analytics through innovative tools and technologies, including predictive analytics, machine learning, and visualization tools like PowerBI, Tableau, Python, and R/Shiny. The role will involve collaboration with various teams across Research and Development (R&D), Quality, IT, Finance, Procurement, and other departments.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead clinical technology projects involving multiple functions, vendors, and external organizations.
  • Optimize clinical trial processes by ensuring seamless integration of technologies and systems across all impacted areas.
  • Develop business cases, track project success metrics, and analyze the results to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Implement and refine tools and technologies for clinical development, including reporting, analytics, and key performance metrics.
  • Conduct root cause analyses and share best practices across functions to improve efficiency and reduce cycle times.
  • Support internal audits, external inspections, and other compliance-related activities.
  • Partner with IT and external vendors to ensure the successful implementation and customer satisfaction of technology solutions.
  • Develop, maintain, and report metrics related to clinical trial performance, and provide regular updates to leadership.
  • Manage financial and procurement activities, including budgets, invoices, work orders, and contracts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to meet customer requirements and ensure the successful delivery of clinical projects.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Experience:

    • Proven experience in reporting, analytics, and clinical information flow, with specific expertise in clinical reporting, metrics, or analytics processes.
    • Familiarity with evolving technologies in clinical trial analytics and clinical development is highly preferred.
    • Experience in clinical drug development or clinical information flow is an advantage.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficient in tools and technologies such as PowerBI, Tableau, Python, R/Shiny, SAS, etc.
    • Strong understanding of data concepts, including data wrangling, modeling, and mining, as well as database structures (schemas, normalization).
    • Applied experience with predictive analytics, prescriptive analytics, machine learning, and data visualization.
    • Familiarity with clinical trial data management and systems is preferred.
  • Additional Skills:

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and lead projects.
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to diagnosing issues and implementing corrective actions.
    • Solid organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands.
    • Experience in project management, including vendor oversight and managing project delivery.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Power Platform tools (PowerBI, PowerApps) for business process automation and optimization.
  • Strong vendor management and oversight experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of clinical or laboratory data and systems management.
