Job Purpose

The Associate Scientist will be part of the Translational Medicine – Pathology team and will be responsible for performing routine mass analysis of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) and antigens using mass spectrometry.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Immunohistochemistry (IHC) experiments to support research, development projects, and clinical sample testing.
  • Independently perform monoplex IHC automated assays and assist in multiplex assay development.
  • Support clinical sample analysis and compile relevant data.
  • Perform RNA in situ hybridization (ISH) and cell culture activities related to IHC techniques.
  • Execute routine histopathological techniques for sample preparation and analysis.
  • Work efficiently with digital slide scanners and digital pathology software platforms.
  • Participate in Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) preparation and periodic review while maintaining proper documentation.
  • Assist in instrument maintenance, quality control (QC), inventory management, and general laboratory operations.
  • Manage block repository for sample storage and retrieval.

Educational Qualification

  • M.Sc. / M.Tech in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or equivalent degree in Life Sciences.

Technical & Functional Skills

  • Proficiency in design and development of monoplex IHC assays.
  • Experience with IHC autostainers and troubleshooting related issues.
  • Hands-on experience with routine histopathological techniques.
  • Familiarity with digital pathology scanners and associated software platforms.
  • Experience working with preclinical and clinical samples is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of regulated laboratory settings such as CAP, NABL, or GxP environments is beneficial.

Experience Required

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in histopathology and IHC assays within industry or academic research settings.
