Job Summary

The Associate Microbiology role focuses on ensuring microbiology laboratory quality, documentation, investigations, and compliance with cGMP and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with supervisors and cross-functional teams to maintain and improve quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

Documentation & Process Control

  • Prepare and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), protocols, and investigation reports for the microbiology lab.

  • Initiate and manage changes in processes, equipment, or facilities based on operational requirements.

  • Timely closure of CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions), NCR (Non-Conformance Reports), LIR (Laboratory Investigation Reports), and related quality documents.

  • Assess impact of document changes across functions via Document Change Control (DCR) or Change Control Management (CCM).

  • Initiate investigations on observed non-conformities and coordinate corrective actions.

  • Prepare error-free documentation following CAPA requirements.

  • Provide training to relevant personnel as needed.

  • Manage Quality Management System (QMS) documentation ensuring closure within defined timelines.

  • Ensure SOPs comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and regulatory standards.

Quality & Compliance

  • Analyze non-conformities and Out of Specification (OOS) results line-wise for impact assessment.

  • Escalate cGMP violations and non-compliance issues on the shop floor to Supervisors promptly.

  • Discuss non-conformity reports and implement CAPA in collaboration with Supervisors.

  • Prepare and maintain SOPs, standard testing procedures, and specifications aligned with regulatory guidelines.

  • Coordinate with QA, QC, QMS, Audit, and Compliance teams for the implementation of testing procedures and specifications.

  • Support and manage internal and external audits, ensuring effective CAPA implementation.

Miscellaneous

  • Perform other tasks assigned by management as required.

Education & Experience
