Job Overview:

The Associate Medical Manager will provide medical safety expertise for drugs, devices, and combination products in the post-marketing setting. This role involves comprehensive medical review of safety cases, guidance to case processors, and participation in signal detection and aggregate analysis. You will help ensure that patient safety data meets high standards of quality, compliance, and timeliness.


Key Responsibilities:

🔍 Medical Review & Case Processing

  • Perform primary medical review of safety cases, including:

    • Seriousness assessment

    • Causality and listedness determination

    • Medical coding of adverse events

    • Narrative review

  • Ensure all case data and feedback are documented and updated in tracking tools and databases

  • Take full ownership of assigned deliverables, ensuring compliance with SLA and KPI targets

🧠 Training & Quality Assurance

  • Provide medical training and guidance to the case processing team

  • Perform:

    • Secondary medical reviews (QC)

    • Retrospective reviews (QA) to monitor case quality, detect trends, and identify training needs

📊 Aggregate Analysis & Signal Detection

  • Contribute to aggregate medical reviews

  • Participate in signal detection and analysis activities as required

🤝 Client Interaction & Continuous Improvement

  • Support and enhance client relationships

  • Contribute to a culture of customer service excellence

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives across the organization


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in medical science, MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree

    Relevant experience may substitute for educational requirements

📚 Language Skills:

  • Speaking: English at ILR Level 3+ or higher

  • Reading/Writing: English at ILR Level 4+ or higher


Required Experience:

  • Knowledge of medical sciences, diagnosis, and therapeutics, including drug treatments and procedures

  • Understanding of regulatory requirements for clinical research

  • Familiarity with ICH-GCP guidelines


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Good understanding of pharmacovigilance regulations

  • Up to 2 years of pharmaceutical industry experience:

    • In case processing, medical review, or clinical research

  • 1–2 years of clinical practice experience


Work Environment:

  • Office-based or remote work option depending on management assignment
