Location of the Role

  • Base Location: European HQ in Haarlem.
  • Travel Requirement: 20-30%, primarily to other EU locations.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Medical Affairs Manager for Neurology and Psychiatry to lead and execute medical activities and strategies across Europe. This role offers the opportunity to shape the medical launch readiness for assigned products, foster collaboration across diverse teams, and contribute to improving the lives of patients.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Develop and implement EU medical launch readiness plans for neurology/psychiatry products.
  • Lead the creation and execution of regional strategic brand/medical plans and operating plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Provide medical and clinical leadership for Teva's neurology/psychiatry products, ensuring alignment with global and regional strategies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Commercial, HEOR, R&D, Regulatory, Market Access, and Country Medical Departments to ensure cohesive planning and execution.
  • Contribute to global studies by providing input on Phase II-IV designs and oversee execution in Europe.

Scientific & Medical Expertise

  • Serve as an internal expert on product and disease-related content, educating teams and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with external experts and medical/patient associations.
  • Lead the strategy and execution of real-world evidence (RWE) data generation projects, including protocol development and vendor management.

Publications & Communication

  • Drive the creation and review of publications, abstracts, posters, and manuscripts.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of European medical congresses, satellite symposia, advisory boards, and speaker training sessions.

Compliance & Oversight

  • Review and approve promotional and educational materials.
  • Evaluate investigator-initiated studies (ISS) and company-sponsored research proposals.

Your Experience and Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Required: MD/PhD or similar scientific background.
  • Preferred: Neurology or Psychiatry specialization.
  • Minimum 5-6 years of experience in a medical department within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise in medical affairs launch activities and neurology/neuroscience therapeutic areas.
  • Proven track record in publications, RWE data generation, and budget management.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cultures and functions.
  • Strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skilled in planning and executing medical strategies and fostering team alignment.
  • High integrity with strong ethical and scientific standards.
