Position Overview

The Associate Medical Advisor will enable the Oncology/Hematology franchise by providing scientific expertise and partnering with stakeholders across clinical, educational, and strategic initiatives. The role involves developing and executing innovative medical plans, driving evidence generation strategies, and shaping the external scientific landscape to ensure timely patient access to Janssen products.


Key Responsibilities

Medical Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement Medical Affairs Strategy and Tactical Plans in alignment with local, regional, and global MAF strategies.

  • Provide therapeutic area (TA) expertise and scientific advice to cross-functional teams.

  • Ensure medical leadership during Brand & Medical Cross-Functional Team (CFT) meetings.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain scientific relationships with KOLs, prescribers, nurses, allied healthcare professionals, patients, and associations.

  • Develop and execute KOL engagement strategy and identify new partnerships with peak bodies.

Evidence Generation & Data Management

  • Lead development of data generation plans to address evidence gaps and align with brand strategy.

  • Manage safety review of data generation activities.

  • Ensure timely support for clinician requests related to Janssen products.

Medical & Scientific Support

  • Provide guidance in the development of promotional, educational, and disease state materials (digital, slide decks, print).

  • Ensure all materials comply with company policies and industry codes of practice.

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Market Access, Medical Education, Training, and Regulatory teams to ensure knowledge dissemination.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Represent Therapeutic Area in medical & scientific affairs across internal and external initiatives.

  • Partner with marketing, access, Med Ed, and clinical operations during strategic and business planning.

Travel Requirement

  • 20–30% travel for stakeholder interactions and scientific engagement.


Qualifications

Education

  • Post Graduate Medical Degree (MD) in Pharmacology or any Medical Specialty.

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry.

  • Good understanding of medical affairs functions.

  • Knowledge of local regulatory policies, drug registration processes, promotional code of practice, and clinical research requirements.

  • Strong communication, influencing, and collaboration skills.
