🎯 Key Responsibilities

🔬 Medical Education & Advisory Activities

  • Identify and fulfill medical education gaps aligned with the medical affairs plan

  • Lead the design and execution of Medical Advisory Boards

  • Collaborate with medical education teams to organize CMEs, educational grants, and sponsored events

  • Work with faculty to ensure high-quality scientific content

🚀 Therapy Area (TA) Leadership – Product Launches

  • Serve as the trusted scientific expert in Neurosciences

  • Conduct literature reviews and analyze clinical papers to support evidence-based brand messaging

  • Contribute to Life Cycle Management (LCM) and brand positioning strategies

  • Provide medical input for product development, safety alerts, market activities, and regulatory interactions

  • Monitor medical spending and project budgets

🧠 Medical Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement medical strategy for assigned therapy area

  • Conduct gap analysis in data, care standards, and customer insights

  • Ensure medical leadership during cross-functional brand and strategic planning

  • Partner with marketing, regulatory, access, education, and clinical teams

📋 Medical Review

  • Provide medical input during concept and final review of promotional materials

  • Approve labeling, training, PI, and translated medical content per SOPs and policies


👩‍⚕️ External Stakeholder & KOL Engagement

  • Develop and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and external experts

  • Provide scientific information and insights via regular meetings and conferences

  • Act as liaison for Investigator Initiated Studies (IIS) and Medical Affairs Funded (MAF) studies

  • Support interactions with patient advocacy groups and professional societies


📈 Data Generation & Clinical Research

  • Identify post-registration medical data gaps in collaboration with regional teams

  • Lead development of company-sponsored local studies

  • Govern IIS submissions and support local study planning and investigator engagement

  • Interface with Global Clinical Operations (GCO) for protocol design, IRB submissions, and site support


✔️ Compliance & Training

  • Ensure compliance with HCBI, SOPs, GSQA, local regulatory policies, and industry codes

  • Conduct medical/scientific training for internal and external stakeholders

  • Respond to unsolicited medical information inquiries

  • Serve as the point of contact for Name Patient Programs


🤝 Internal Collaboration

  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, regulatory, QA, and other internal stakeholders

  • Provide medical insights to support strategy and complex medical queries

  • Conduct field visits and contribute to sales/marketing alignment

  • Handle recurring medical inquiries and KOL profiling


🧠 Required Competencies & Skills

  • Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred

  • Strong understanding of clinical study design and scientific data

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strategic thinker with ethical, patient-centric approach

  • Strong interpersonal and influencing abilities


🌍 Stakeholder Interaction

  • Regular interaction with:

    • Local & international specialists

    • Regional leadership & management board

    • Sales, Marketing, Regulatory & QA teams

    • Local regulatory bodies and scientific associations

    • Global Clinical Operations / Medical Affairs Ops (GCO/MAO)

30–40% travel to meet stakeholders, attend congresses, and gather insights
