Job Summary
Syneos Health is hiring an experienced Associate Director of Statistical Programming to lead global clinical trials and manage cross-functional programming teams. This leadership role requires deep expertise in SAS, ADaM, TLFs, and SDTM, along with strong people management and client engagement skills. Key Responsibilities
Manage regional statistical programming teams (30–40 FTEs), including hiring, training, and performance reviews
Oversee timelines, quality, and budgets across multiple global projects
Drive team development and succession planning
Assign programming resources based on skills and availability
Solve technical challenges and provide cost-effective programming solutions
Lead client communication, engagement, and issue resolution
Support business development activities including RFPs and bid defense meetings
Ensure compliance with global clinical trial standards and sponsor requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 12 years of statistical programming experience in clinical trials
Expertise in SAS programming, ADaM, TLFs, and SDTM
2–3 years of people management experience, leading 30–40 team members
Strong experience in client engagement and escalation management
Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (BS/MS)
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Understanding of regulatory requirements and CDISC standards
Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
