Salary Range:
The anticipated compensation for this position is $145,500 - $213,400. Actual compensation will depend on education, experience, skills, and geographic location.

Purpose:
The Health Outcomes Liaison (OL) team serves as the medical and health economic and outcomes research (HEOR) interface between Lilly and value-based decision-makers, including payers, health systems, research institutions, and policy makers in the United States. The role provides evidence-driven solutions to support formulary access, treatment pathways, and guidelines, impacting millions of patients. OLs address key therapeutic evidence gaps and anticipate stakeholder needs while delivering the necessary clinical evidence, HEOR, and real-world data (RWE) to enhance patient outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Customer Support:

    • Deliver clinical, value, and outcomes evidence, including observational research, comparative effectiveness, and pharmacoeconomic data, to meet customer needs.
    • Translate complex information into actionable insights for value-based decision makers.
    • Collaborate with healthcare ecosystem stakeholders to understand and address their information needs.
    • Develop and execute medical/HEOR strategy in partnership with internal and field-based medical and commercial teams.
    • Serve as a trusted resource on disease state, Lilly and competitor products, health outcomes research, quality measures, healthcare policy, and RWE.
  • Evidentiary Support & Innovative Collaborations:

    • Facilitate research collaborations and value-based arrangements by leveraging clinical, analytic, and environmental considerations.
    • Share customer insights and trends internally to influence evidence generation and strategy.
    • Build proactive medical/HEOR relationships that lead to innovative collaborations.
  • US Healthcare System & Environmental Expertise:

    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the US healthcare system, value-based decision makers, and their evidence needs.
    • Stay informed about emerging science, environmental trends, healthcare policy, and regulatory actions.
    • Provide expertise on relevant disease states, therapeutic landscapes, HEOR, RWE, and value-based care.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (PharmD, MD, PhD, MS, MSN, MPH) in a scientific or health-related field, with relevant experience in health science or health outcomes, OR a Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or health-related field with 5+ years of experience in health science or health outcomes.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship provided).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the US healthcare system and value-based decision makers.
  • Expertise in oncology and experience with real-world data analysis and interpretation.
  • Experience working with or supporting value-based decision makers.
  • Proven background in HEOR research/application, including observational and pharmacoeconomic research.
  • Ability to analyze, synthesize, and communicate complex scientific information clearly.
  • Experience in field-based, customer-facing roles (e.g., medical, clinical development, government affairs, HEOR, managed care).

Additional Information:

  • This position is focused on the oncology portfolio and health systems/organized medical groups.
  • Preferred location: Within driving distance of a major airport (e.g., MSP, IND, BNA, MCI, STL, CMH).
  • The position requires up to 50% travel (car and plane) within the Eastern US.
  • Ability to use electronic tools for communication is essential.
