Job Purpose

The Associate Director, Global Channel Analytics within the Global Scientific Communications organization will:

  • Track, analyze, and report on channel and content performance metrics.

  • Provide actionable insights to optimize scientific communication strategies across therapeutic areas.

  • Integrate generative AI tools into omnichannel content workflows, working closely with Digital and Medical teams to enhance engagement, efficiency, and personalization.


Key Responsibilities

Analytics & Insights

  • Track, analyze, and report metrics across scientific communication channels.

  • Share actionable insights to improve channel and content engagement.

  • Synthesize complex analytics into data storytelling to inform content planning and dissemination strategies.

  • Develop metrics-driven narratives for integrated medical communication plans.

  • Collaborate with Digital teams for data visualization and interpretation of dashboard metrics.

  • Identify trends and provide strategic recommendations to optimize channel selection, audience targeting, and engagement.

Generative AI Integration

  • Leverage generative AI tools to improve analytics efficiency and support content creation.

  • Monitor AI-generated content performance and refine AI models, prompts, and training sets.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Work cross-functionally with Scientific Communications, Digital, and Medical teams to assess channel performance.

  • Stay updated on advancements in scientific communications and evolve metric frameworks accordingly.


Qualifications & Experience

Basic Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in science, medicine, pharmacy, or related field.

  • 15+ years overall experience; 5–7 years in scientific communications, analytics, and/or medical affairs.

  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Figma).

  • Strong understanding of generative AI, including prompting and content personalization.

  • Experience working cross-functionally with Digital, Medical Affairs, and Content teams.

  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail.

  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and team collaboration tools.

  • Ability to interpret, analyze, and present complex data to diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Postgraduate degree (PhD or PharmD).

  • Local, regional, or global medical/R&D experience with expertise in therapeutic areas.

  • Experience developing scientific communication strategies for global markets (US, UK, EU, China, Japan).
