The Pharma Daily is inviting applications for the position of Associate Content Editor – References to join a Reference Master team in Chennai. This entry-level opportunity is ideal for fresh graduates seeking a career in academic publishing, bibliographic data curation, and scholarly content operations.

The selected candidate will contribute to dissertation and thesis reference management, ensuring high-quality bibliographic data capture for global academic research databases. This role offers exposure to structured content editing, citation management, and academic metadata curation within an international publishing environment.

Experience Required

0 years of experience (Freshers are eligible to apply).
Strong English communication and comprehension skills at a professional level.
Ability to work in a structured, quality-driven editorial environment.

Educational Qualifications

Undergraduate degree required (B.Com, B.Sc., BBA, BA, BCA, or equivalent).
Applicants must have received final degree results or course completion certificate.

Preferred Skills

Basic knowledge of academic publishing or citation formats is an advantage.
Strong typing skills and attention to detail.
Ability to perform content analysis and bibliographic data verification.
Experience in the publishing industry is a plus but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

Curate bibliographic information including Author names, Editors, Volume numbers, Page details, and Titles from dissertations and theses submitted by participating universities.
Follow defined editorial policies, procedures, and quality metrics to ensure accurate metadata capture.
Maintain high standards of data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
Work efficiently in a production-oriented environment handling structured and repetitive tasks.
Collaborate with team members to support academic content workflows and reference database enhancement.

Product Overview

This role supports a globally recognized dissertations and theses database serving researchers, universities, and academic institutions. As an Associate Content Editor, you will work within the Reference Master content operations team contributing to structured bibliographic records that power academic discovery and scholarly research.

About the Team

The Reference Master team is responsible for curating and maintaining high-quality reference records sourced from academic literature and institutional submissions. The team consists of 15 professionals working collaboratively under experienced content and team managers in a multicultural and quality-focused environment.
