About the Role:

Join IQVIA’s Cardiovascular, Renal, and Metabolic (CVRM) team as an Associate Clinical Project Director, contributing your expertise to a growing Obesity-focused portfolio. In this leadership role, you will manage the operational execution of clinical studies and programs from pre-award to close-out, ensuring quality, timelines, and profitability.

Obesity therapeutic area experience is required.


Key Responsibilities:

Project Strategy & Leadership

  • Participate in bid defense preparation and presentations for large, global, full-service, multi-country/multi-regional studies.

  • Translate project strategy into actionable operational plans.

  • Develop and support integrated study management plans in collaboration with the core team.

  • Serve as primary oversight/contact for customers and manage the relationship with key client stakeholders.

Study Execution & Oversight

  • Ensure studies are delivered on-time, within budget, and to quality standards in alignment with SOPs and contractual obligations.

  • Lead or oversee clinical project execution from start to finish.

  • Ensure use of study tools, systems, and standard processes across all projects.

  • Forecast and identify opportunities to accelerate timelines or increase efficiency.

Team Management

  • Set and communicate clear objectives and performance expectations for the core project team.

  • Provide feedback, leadership, and performance management support to project team members.

Risk & Issue Management

  • Supervise and resolve project risks, contingencies, and issues proactively.

  • Implement risk mitigation plans and corrective actions when necessary.

Financial Oversight

  • Manage project financials to ensure profitability and proper resource allocation.

  • Identify and implement strategies to optimize delivery speed and cost-efficiency.

  • Forecast project milestones and associated revenue generation opportunities.


Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences or a related field preferred
    (Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree)

Experience:

  • 10+ years of clinical research experience

  • 6+ years of project management experience, including global/multi-regional projects

  • Direct experience in managing Obesity studies or programs is required

  • Recognized as an expert in clinical project management by peers


Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and strategic decision-making abilities

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage project risks, timelines, and budgets

  • High level of customer focus and relationship-building with sponsors

  • Familiarity with clinical trial systems, tools, and quality/compliance standards

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary Range (Annualized):
    $102,500 – $285,500 USD

Actual base pay may vary depending on job-related qualifications, experience, location, and schedule (full-time/part-time).
