Position Overview

Abbott is seeking an Associate Biostatistician to join its Medical Device Clinical Research organization. This onsite role provides statistical support across clinical trials, including study design, analysis, reporting, and data validation. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the Statistical Manager, supporting clinical study teams and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure high-quality, accurate, and timely statistical deliverables.

This is an excellent opportunity for a biostatistician with 1+ years of relevant experience to grow their career in a global medical device organization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive review of clinical protocols to ensure alignment with statistical methodologies.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of statistical analysis plans (SAPs).

  • Generate, validate, and review statistical tables, listings, and reports for clinical studies.

  • Ensure data integrity and quality across datasets, analyses, and reports.

  • Identify and correct flaws in interpretation or inconsistencies in presentation.

  • Provide timely responses to routine and nonstandard statistical queries from clients and study teams.

  • Implement and maintain quality system standards for statistical processes.

  • Assist in protocol, CRF, schema, and report development, adhering to timelines.

  • Communicate effectively with clinical teams, demonstrating basic clinical principles relevant to projects.

  • Provide training to non-statistical team members as required.

  • Escalate key issues and provide updates to supervisors in a timely manner.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, or related field (Master’s or PhD preferred).

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in biostatistics, clinical research, or medical device studies.

  • Strong understanding of statistical concepts, methodologies, and clinical trial operations.

  • Proficiency in statistical software and data management tools.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while managing multiple tasks.
