We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – QMS to lead and strengthen Quality Management System (QMS) and Food Safety compliance at a manufacturing facility in Jhagadia, India. The role is responsible for ensuring effective implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of quality systems aligned with corporate policies, divisional procedures, ISO/FSSC 22000 standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
This position plays a critical role in maintaining compliance readiness, supporting new product introductions, driving audit excellence, and ensuring adherence to global food safety standards.
Quality Management System Implementation & Compliance
Oversee implementation of global and corporate policy requirements into site-level SOPs and operational practices.
Ensure all QA documentation meets corporate, divisional, and regulatory standards while remaining efficient and practical for operational use.
Maintain and update site QMS in alignment with evolving global standards and management systems.
Regulatory & Certification Compliance
Ensure compliance with ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, HACCP, BIS, and FSSAI requirements.
Compile and manage documentation for regulatory submissions, license renewals, and product registrations.
Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and internal quality systems to ensure continuous compliance.
Audit, Risk & CAPA Management
Conduct gap analysis against corporate policies, divisional standards, and regulatory requirements.
Develop and implement risk mitigation action plans.
Oversee internal audits, global CAPA compliance schedules, and document control activities.
Manage documentation related to change control, management review, mock recall, and audit readiness.
New Product Introduction (NPI) Support
Develop and implement required QMS documentation to support timely and compliant new product launches.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
Compile and submit monthly quality metrics and compliance reports to divisional stakeholders.
Provide periodic feedback to cross-functional teams regarding compliance status and improvement areas.
Training & Awareness
Conduct training programs on GMP, QMS, and Food Safety requirements.
Drive quality culture and compliance awareness across manufacturing operations.
Postgraduate degree in Dairy Technology, Food Sciences, or related discipline.
Alternatively, Master’s degree in Science with relevant specialization.
10–12 years of progressive experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance within food, dairy, or nutrition manufacturing environments.
Strong knowledge of ISO/FSSC 22000, HACCP, BIS, and FSSAI standards.
Proven experience in audit management, regulatory compliance, CAPA, and document control systems.
Strong analytical and risk assessment skills.
Experience in regulated food or nutrition manufacturing facilities.
Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
Strong documentation and reporting skills aligned with global quality frameworks.
