Job Summary:

ProRelix Research is looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team in Pune. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in accounting and finance. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting the preparation of financial reports. You will also handle day-to-day accounting tasks to ensure smooth financial operations for the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Recordkeeping:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ledgers.
    • Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
    • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded.
  2. Invoice Management:

    • Process invoices for payments and ensure timely processing.
    • Coordinate with vendors and clients to resolve any discrepancies in invoicing and payments.
  3. Bank Reconciliation:

    • Reconcile the company’s bank accounts to ensure accurate records.
    • Ensure all transactions are correctly categorized and reflect accurately in financial statements.
  4. Financial Reporting:

    • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
    • Prepare and maintain detailed reports on monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance.
  5. Taxation and Compliance:

    • Support the finance team in preparing and filing taxes, including VAT, GST, and other applicable returns.
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and local tax laws.
    • Assist in audits by preparing relevant financial documents and schedules.
  6. Expense Management:

    • Monitor and track company expenses, ensuring they align with the approved budgets.
    • Process expense reports and ensure timely reimbursement.
  7. Month-End and Year-End Closing:

    • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
    • Generate financial reports to ensure timely submission to senior management.
  8. Cost Analysis:

    • Analyze and track operational costs, identifying areas where the company can reduce expenses or optimize resources.
    • Support in budgeting and forecasting activities.
  9. General Ledger Maintenance:

    • Maintain the company’s general ledger and ensure proper coding of financial transactions.
    • Ensure proper documentation for financial records and transactions.
  10. Other Finance-related Tasks:

    • Provide administrative support to the finance department as required.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the senior management.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Educational Qualification:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    • Additional qualifications such as CA (Inter), CMA, or other finance-related certifications are a plus.
  • Experience:

    • 1 to 3 years of proven experience as an accountant, finance assistant, or similar role.
    • Familiarity with accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, or similar) and MS Office (Excel, Word).
    • Knowledge of financial regulations and standards.
  • Key Skills:

    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
    • Proficiency in financial reporting and reconciliations.
    • Experience with managing accounts payable and receivable.
    • Ability to work with financial data and derive insights.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
