Brief Description

The EMD Access and Reimbursement Manager (ARM) is responsible for executing the Epidiolex market access business plan for the assigned geographic area. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with providers and educating them on payer and reimbursement policies, prior authorization processes, and patient support services. The ARM will proactively address patient-specific access issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution. The role also involves onboarding institutional specialty pharmacies and collaborating with sales and internal teams to meet business objectives.


Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Implement strategies to achieve business unit and corporate goals.

  • Analyze data and develop actionable steps.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with providers and provider accounts.

  • Educate providers on patient access services, prior authorization requirements, appeals process, and coding.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for reimbursement and access in the geography.

  • Proactively resolve patient-specific access issues.

  • Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to troubleshoot specialty pharmacy-related issues.

  • Onboard and train institutional specialty pharmacies.

  • Work with regional sales teams to develop payer and reimbursement action plans.

  • Monitor and communicate payer coverage policies and changes.

  • Collaborate with Managed Markets to educate customers on various payer entities.

  • Conduct business development reviews and provide updates to corporate leadership.

  • Maintain a payer coverage and reimbursement database.

  • Ensure compliance with Jazz’s regulatory and compliance programs.

  • Represent Jazz at industry functions, meetings, and conferences.

  • Demonstrate effective time management and territory planning.


Qualifications

  • Education: BA/BS Degree (MBA preferred).

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or medical device industries.

  • Account Management: Experience working in provider office settings and building strong customer relationships.

  • Specialized Knowledge: Experience with HUB, patient services, and specialty pharmacy.

  • Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Travel: Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time.


Additional Information

  • Physical Demands: Frequent travel and computer use.

  • Work Environment: Primarily office-based, minimal exposure to noise, dust, and other environmental factors.

  • Schedule: May require working outside normal hours to meet business demands.


Compensation

  • Base Pay Range: $148,000.00 - $222,000.00

  • Additional compensation may include a discretionary annual bonus or incentive, as well as equity grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
