Position Summary:
The Senior Sustainability Technical Program Manager (TPM) will play a critical role in defining and implementing product line strategies and initiatives to help Amazon's Devices business areas achieve decarbonization and reach net-zero emissions. This role involves developing and executing sustainability programs that deliver measurable environmental benefits, with a focus on the hardware and product development aspects. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in sustainability or hardware development to drive actionable initiatives for devices products.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with leadership to set the sustainability strategy and make high-judgment trade-offs between features and sustainability goals.
Manage the entire product life cycle, from strategic planning to tactical execution, in collaboration with cross-functional teams (engineering, product management, etc.).
Establish sustainability goals and metrics to identify opportunities and track progress.
Research and innovate new opportunities for sustainability improvements on behalf of customers.
Anticipate and resolve bottlenecks, manage risk, and balance business needs with technical constraints.
Basic Qualifications:
7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams.
5+ years of experience in technical product or program management.
Proven track record in managing cross-functional programs, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in project management, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk management, and critical path management.
Experience in managing projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules.
Strong experience in roadmap strategy and definition.
