Job Title: Underwriter – Insurance
Location: Hybrid/Remote – Sacramento, CA

Position Overview:
A leading insurance company in Sacramento, CA, with over 40 years of service, is seeking an experienced Commercial Underwriter to join their team. This position is primarily remote, with occasional visits to the office for meetings and training. What We Need from You:

  • Experience: 3+ years of Commercial Underwriting experience.
  • Designation: AIS designation required.
  • License: Property & Casualty License preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of insurance products, markets, ratings, and underwriting procedures.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Adobe), carrier websites, and other relevant software systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver excellent customer service to clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with agents, brokers, business partners, and customers.
  • Exhibit strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Process renewals, new business applications, and endorsements to enhance underwriting operations.
  • Review and approve policy changes as needed.
  • Analyze reports, audits, and inspections to ensure accuracy and compliance.
