Travel Pharmacist Opportunity in Wrangell, AK - $3,413/week

Continuum Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Pharmacist for an exciting position in Wrangell, Alaska.

Job Description & Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Review all prescriptions for appropriateness, legality, completeness, contraindications, interactions, allergies, adverse drug reactions, and lab value abnormalities.
  • Provide clinical consultation and clarification, resolving concerns with prescribers prior to dispensing.
  • Document all clinical activities and interventions accurately.
  • Enter prescriptions into pharmacy software and verify finished orders in a timely manner.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, organizing and prioritizing assignments.
  • Advise patients clearly on medications, including indications, drug names, strengths, usage, and expected changes.
  • Communicate regularly with patients and healthcare providers to resolve issues and ensure optimal care.
  • Perform chart reviews for refills and medication therapy management.
  • Provide drug information, drug therapy consultation, and staff education.
  • Supervise pharmacy support personnel and verify the daily activities of pharmacy technicians.
  • Participate in clinical and administrative activities, including quality control and improvement.
  • Ensure availability, preparation, and control of medications, selecting appropriate drugs for formulary.
  • Engage in health promotion and disease prevention activities related to drug use.
