Team Overview – Antibody Team:

  • Focused on antibody engineering and development

  • Core activities: design, development, purification, conjugation, and testing of antibodies for immunoassay applications

Job Summary

The Scientist II will be an integral part of the antibody development team, focusing on antibody performance and specificity using molecular, protein, and cell biology methods. The role includes project leadership, experimental design, data analysis, and cross-team collaboration.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform single-cell sorting and related experiments

  • Provide scientific input for antibody development using recombinant DNA technology

  • Lead projects and workflows in new antibody development programs

  • Plan and execute experiments, analyze data, and present results

  • Serve as domain authority in cell sorting and immunology

  • Guide cross-functional teams and provide technical expertise

  • Author and optimize standard operating procedures (SOPs)

  • Troubleshoot scientific problems and suggest alternatives

  • Contribute to publications and peer-reviewed research


Education & Experience Requirements

  • Masters with 5+ years of relevant experience or PhD with 2+ years experience in life sciences

  • Strong focus on Immunology and Molecular Biology


Technical & Professional Skills

  • Strong background in flow cytometry: cell sorting, immunophenotyping, multicolor panels, rare population analysis

  • Proficiency with cytometry analysis software (e.g., FlowJo, FCS Express)

  • Experience processing tissue and isolating cells (PBMCs, mouse splenocytes)

  • Experience in monoclonal antibody development (single B-cell sorting, phage display, recombinant technology) preferred

  • Molecular biology workflows: cloning, plasmid construction, PCR, restriction digestion, ligation, transformation, sequencing

  • Ability to identify deviations, troubleshoot, and propose solutions

  • Proficient in MS Office and statistical software (GraphPad Prism)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation skills, and teamwork

  • Authorship in peer-reviewed publications and post-doctoral experience preferred
