We are seeking an experienced Techno-Functional Lead – Veeva Systems to drive multi-module Veeva Vault implementations, configuration governance, platform integration strategy, and operational excellence in a regulated life sciences environment.

This role requires deep Veeva expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead end-to-end delivery across global cross-functional teams.


Key Responsibilities

1. Techno-Functional Leadership

  • Serve as the primary Veeva subject matter expert across Vault CRM, PromoMats, MedComms, and MedInquiry.

  • Translate complex business workflows into scalable technical and configuration solutions.

  • Lead solution blueprinting, feasibility analysis, data governance alignment, and platform enhancements.

  • Promote a configuration-first approach to ensure high performance and low technical debt.

2. Solution Architecture & Configuration Governance

  • Validate object models, workflows, lifecycles, metadata, MLR processes, and medical inquiry structures.

  • Manage release packaging, audit-ready documentation, and change control processes.

  • Oversee content governance, claims/reference mapping, taxonomy, and brand portal design.

3. Platform Integrations & Data Strategy

  • Lead integration architecture across CRM, MDM, MAP, MedInfo, Analytics, and Field Systems using Veeva APIs and Vault Loader.

  • Govern data integrity, monitoring, scheduling, and sync processes.

  • Drive data migration planning including mapping, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation.

4. Testing, Validation & Go-Live Readiness

  • Oversee SIT, E2E, regression, and UAT testing cycles.

  • Support validation documentation for URS, FRS, RTM, and GxP compliance.

  • Approve go-live readiness for workflows, environments, users, SLAs, and reporting processes.

5. Operational Excellence & Managed Services

  • Manage L1–L3 operational governance including SLA adherence, severity management, RCA, and backlog optimization.

  • Monitor platform performance, enhancements, and release impact readiness.

  • Deliver monthly operational dashboards covering SLA performance, trends, and business value metrics.

6. Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with Commercial IT, Medical Affairs, Compliance, Field Enablement, and business leadership teams.

  • Influence enterprise roadmap evolution through insights and platform best practices.

  • Act as the escalation lead with Veeva Product Support and vendor partners.

7. Training, Documentation & Adoption

  • Lead training, SOP creation, and knowledge asset development.

  • Deliver train-the-trainer programs and ensure user proficiency across PromoMats, MedComms, MedInquiry, and CRM workflows.


Experience Required

  • Minimum 10 years of techno-functional experience in implementing and supporting Veeva Vault solutions in the life sciences domain.

  • Hands-on experience across Vault CRM, PromoMats, MedComms, and MedInquiry.

  • Proven expertise in regulated environments with end-to-end delivery ownership.

  • Strong knowledge of workflows, security, lifecycles, page layouts, dashboards, and metadata.

  • Practical experience with Veeva APIs, Vault Loader, data reconciliation, and integration monitoring.

  • Deep understanding of GxP controls, validation processes, and inspection readiness.

  • Domain expertise in CRM field operations, MLR compliance, structured medical information workflows, and content governance.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing global, distributed teams.


Good to Have

  • Veeva certifications (Vault Administrator or CRM).

  • Experience with Veeva RIM, Align, or OpenData.

  • PMP, SAFe, or Agile certifications.

  • Exposure to AI-based workflow optimization or automation tools.
