What You'll Be Doing:

The Technician, Formulation is responsible for maintaining the strategic operations of the assigned maintenance department. You’ll provide leadership to engineers, supervisors, and technicians, manage budgets, and direct teams to complete projects within quality, time, and budget constraints. With your technical and managerial expertise, you’ll create strategies to improve asset availability and provide direction to staff. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring proper formulation of tanks, including weighing, labeling, and staging materials in compliance with standardized formulas and procedures.
  • Inspecting, cleaning, and re-palletizing raw materials from the warehouse.
  • Managing Mixing and Tank Rooms to ensure adherence to cGMPs.
  • Performing routine preventive maintenance in the Mixing Complex.
  • Promoting a culture of safety and addressing any inefficiencies or quality concerns.
  • Implementing continuous improvement activities in the Mixing area and process.
  • Using powered industrial trucks (PIT) to transport staged materials to the mixing tanks.
  • Pumping or manually blending raw materials into chemical solution mixing tanks.
  • Performing scheduled cleaning activities, including using ladders and safety harnesses to clean mixing tanks.
  • Navigating the computerized Production Operating Management System (POMS) to manage and document batch information.
  • Obtaining samples and performing scheduled quality checks.
  • Taking immediate action and notifying the supervisor in case of safety, quality, or mechanical issues.
  • Following rigorous quality standards, SOPs, and cGMP.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work area using 6S principles.

What You'll Bring:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One year of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Career Readiness Certification (CRC) at the Silver Level preferred.
  • Basic English communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written safety and quality instructions.
  • Ability to perform basic math and handle PIT operations.
  • Basic computer skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Continuous firm grasping and pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds.
  • Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds continuously and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to pass the PIT physical.
  • Normal visual acuity with the ability to distinguish color.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, climb, reach above shoulder level, twist, and balance throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to work safely under various physical demands.
