Job Description – Sanofi Business Operations (SBO) – Medical Services

About the Team

Sanofi Business Operations (SBO) – Medical Services is an internal global resource organization based in India. It centralizes processes and activities to support Specialty Care, Vaccines, General Medicines, CHC, CMO, R&D, Data & Digital functions.
The Sanofi Global Hub serves as a strategic and functional partner, providing tactical support for Medical, HEVA, and Commercial organizations worldwide.


Key Responsibilities

People Management

  • Mentor and guide the team on day-to-day operations, P2P services, budget management, therapeutic area (TA) activities, and medical evidence generation.

  • Monitor work progress, resolve queries, and provide solutions for:

    • OPEX budget & SOW review

    • WBS & PO submission

    • PO/Invoice reconciliation

    • CDA/Confidentiality notice management

    • Vendor onboarding

    • Study ID card development, ABP entries, SharePoint maintenance, document uploads, and other ad hoc tasks.

  • Ensure effective resource and back-up planning for business continuity.

  • Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvements in project tracking, budget management, and compliance.

  • Act as a key contact and thought partner for ABP processes and SharePoint management.

  • Oversee work allocation across TA-specific and cross-functional tasks.

  • Share best practices and drive operational excellence in support program management.

  • Supervise project governance and monitor overall task execution by the team.


Performance

  • Collaborate with global stakeholders to define projections, timelines, and deliverables.

  • Ensure timely delivery of ongoing projects, including SRC reviews, Smartsheet tracking, and ID card management.

  • Maintain quality standards and review deliverables before submission to stakeholders.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues with P2P systems, budget tools, and SharePoint.

  • Monitor trackers, ensure audit readiness, and oversee document archival.

  • Support management of multiple parallel projects across therapeutic areas.


Process Excellence

  • Build deep expertise in P2P workflows, budget management, and program management processes.

  • Encourage adoption of best practices and leverage internal/external business knowledge.

  • Stay updated with operational excellence techniques and facilitate skill development for team members.

  • Provide support for scientific events (symposia, advisory boards, etc.) with project management expertise.

  • Drive governance meetings with stakeholders, vendors, and digital teams to track progress.

  • Identify and recommend automation solutions to streamline P2P, budget, TA tracking, and medical evidence processes.


Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with global stakeholders on project planning, resource allocation, and business continuity.

  • Assist with process improvements, risk mitigation, and new initiatives.

  • Foster collaboration by understanding stakeholder needs and proposing aligned solutions.

  • Maintain productive relationships with stakeholders and assist in issue resolution.

  • Establish and manage regular governance forums with stakeholders.


About You

  • Experience: 12+ years of relevant experience, with strong project management exposure in the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in ambiguous and high-pressure situations.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Teams, SharePoint) and project management tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, JIRA.

  • Education: Postgraduate in Pharma/Life Sciences/Medical with a background in Finance Management.

  • Languages: Excellent command of English (spoken and written).
