About the Team

Sanofi Global Hub (SGH) is a centralized global support organization based in India designed to streamline processes and activities across Specialty Care, Vaccines, General Medicines, CHC, CMO, R&D, and Data & Digital functions. SGH partners with Medical, HEVA, and Commercial teams worldwide to deliver high-quality scientific and operational support.


Main Responsibilities

Overall Purpose

  • Provide functional and operational leadership to assigned therapeutic areas (TAs).

  • Act as a strategic thought partner to TA Scientific Communication Leads.

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of scientific writers.

  • Ensure high-quality delivery of scientific publications and communication plans.

  • Maintain deep expertise in therapeutic areas and industry trends.

  • Collaborate effectively with global and regional stakeholders.


Key Responsibility Areas

1. People Leadership

  • Lead a team of junior to expert-level writers involved in scientific content creation.

  • Coach and develop writers in skills, processes, and scientific standards.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with medical/scientific stakeholders.

  • Promote adoption of new technologies and tools within the team.


2. Performance & Strategy

  • Act as a strategic partner to assigned TA(s) within the respective GBU.

  • Provide expert input into publication and communication plans.

  • Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of publications and medical education materials.

  • Develop tools, processes, and technology improvements to enhance productivity and quality.

  • Maintain expertise in TA-specific science and key industry developments.


3. Scientific Writing Processes

  • Oversee delivery of scientific documents, clinical/medical reports, and publication materials.

  • Guarantee high scientific standards and compliance with regulatory and internal SOPs.

  • Ensure publication and medical education materials meet agreed timelines and quality standards.

  • Drive continuous process improvement through new tools, technology, and methodologies.

  • Enhance training effectiveness through advanced training delivery techniques.


4. Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with regional and global scientific communication teams to identify publication needs.

  • Maintain effective relationships with the medical scientific community.

  • Ensure educational and communication content aligns with stakeholder requirements.


About You

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in scientific/medical content creation within pharma, healthcare, or academia.

  • At least 6 years of leadership/people management experience.

  • Strong ability to influence, negotiate, and manage complex projects.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Strong people management capabilities.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Technical Skills

  • Expertise across multiple therapeutic areas under a single GBU.

  • Strong background in scientific/medical writing and medical communications.

  • Knowledge of publication planning, scientific communication processes, and project management.

Education

  • Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or related discipline; or a medical degree.

Languages

  • Excellent spoken and written English.
