Amgen, a global leader in biotechnology and biopharmaceuticals, is hiring a Strategic Sourcing Manager for Cross Category External Supply & Contract Manufacturing in Hyderabad. This pivotal role involves managing sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, and contract execution to optimize global procurement efforts. Key Responsibilities
Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for contract manufacturing and cross-category external supply
Conduct market analysis and develop sourcing strategies aligned with business goals
Manage end-to-end supplier negotiations and contract lifecycle activities
Leverage analytics tools for procurement insights and cost savings opportunities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and advise senior stakeholders
Foster strong supplier relationships to drive innovation and value
Ensure compliance with procurement regulations, data privacy, and cybersecurity requirements
Work closely with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to maintain operational standards
Support procurement strategy alignment with commercial category leadership
Mentor junior sourcing team members and contribute to continuous improvement culture
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Master’s degree with 4–6 years of sourcing experience
OR Bachelor’s degree with 6–8 years
OR Diploma with 10–12 years of sourcing experience
Must-Have Skills:
Proven experience in strategic sourcing and supplier negotiation
Familiarity with e-Sourcing and CLM tools such as SAP Ariba, Workday Strategic Sourcing, or Sirion Labs
Strong communication skills in English
Experience with global procurement and contract manufacturing sourcing
Good-to-Have Skills:
Knowledge of supplier negotiations within life sciences and academic institutions
Experience managing large, cross-functional global projects
Fluency in contract and financial terms relevant to life sciences sourcing
Ability to influence senior leadership with data-driven sourcing strategies
Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced procurement analytics platforms
