AstraZeneca is seeking a skilled Statistician to join its dynamic team in Bangalore. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to study-level statistical activities, including study setup, conduct, analysis, and reporting. Working under the guidance of experienced statisticians, you will tackle technical statistical projects that support the development of life-changing medicines.
As a Statistician, you will apply statistical expertise to design, analyze, and interpret studies, helping ensure high-quality data and actionable insights across preclinical, clinical, and medical affairs projects.
Provide statistical support for standard study designs and interpretations under expert supervision.
Participate in statistical validation and analyze internal/external data to guide study design decisions.
Apply modeling and simulation techniques to evaluate study robustness and optimize outcomes.
Develop Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs) and produce analysis, supporting graphics, and tables for various projects.
Interpret, summarize, and communicate statistical results clearly to internal stakeholders.
Support regulatory submissions with accurate statistical analyses.
Contribute to methodology improvements, process optimization, and best practices.
Ensure quality and consistency of statistical work through rigorous review and constructive challenge.
MSc or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics (with substantial statistical components), or equivalent.
Programming knowledge and hands-on experience in SAS or R.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Effective time management and self-awareness in professional development.
Desirable Skills & Experience
