Job Overview

As a Senior Statistician in the Complaint Trending and Signal Monitoring team, you will leverage advanced statistical methodologies to analyze complaint data, identify emerging trends, and provide actionable insights that improve product quality and safety. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance, post-market surveillance excellence, and continuous product improvement.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform statistical analysis to detect trends in complaint data and generate actionable insights for risk mitigation and product enhancement.

  • Develop, implement, and validate statistical models for signal detection, root cause analysis, and predictive trend analysis.

  • Utilize tools such as UmpSoft, R, and other statistical software to analyze large datasets and create clear visualizations and dashboards for stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with quality, regulatory, engineering, and operations teams to ensure compliance with complaint handling procedures and post-market surveillance requirements.

  • Prepare comprehensive reports and dashboards for senior leadership and regulatory agencies.

  • Mentor and guide junior statisticians and data analysts to strengthen team capability.

  • Stay current with industry standards, statistical methodologies, and regulatory updates, including FDA and ISO 13485 guidelines.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in statistical analysis, complaint trending, or signal monitoring within the medical device or healthcare industry.

  • Proven expertise in developing and implementing statistical models for signal detection, trend analysis, and root cause assessment.

  • Strong skills in R programming, UmpSoft, and data visualization tools for large-scale datasets.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in quality, regulatory, and engineering.

  • Experience in mentoring and developing junior team members.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of regulatory standards, post-market surveillance, and complaint data analysis.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees preferred.
