Sr Medical Editor – Gurugram (Hybrid) | Syneos Health
Job Summary
Syneos Health is hiring a Senior Medical Editor for a hybrid role based in Gurugram, India. This role is ideal for experienced professionals in medical writing, copyediting, publishing, and regulatory documentation, particularly those familiar with AMA style, FDA and EU requirements, and ICH/ISO standards. With over 5 years of experience, you’ll ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance in medical content supporting clinical trials and regulatory processes.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with FDA, EU, and ICH regulatory standards in medical documents
Lead editorial oversight for large or complex medical writing projects
Perform copyediting, data integrity checks, and formatting using AMA or custom style guides
Train and mentor junior editors and writers
Provide expert input to cross-functional teams and act as an editorial lead in medical writing projects
Manage timelines, resources, and deliverables to meet client and regulatory expectations
Support internal process development and documentation initiatives
Occasionally compile and publish final deliverables
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 5+ years of medical editing or copyediting experience
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Clinical Sciences, English, Journalism, or equivalent
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and preferably ISIToolbox
Deep knowledge of AMA Style Guide, FDA/EMA regulations, and ICH-GCP guidelines
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
Experience in publishing regulatory or medical writing deliverables
Exceptional grammar, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
