Job Purpose
The Senior Manager – Patent Cell will manage API-related Intellectual Property (IP) matters, including patent searches, evaluations, drafting, and global IP due diligence. This role plays a critical part in safeguarding the company’s innovations and ensuring freedom to operate in international markets.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patent searches across multiple databases and prepare detailed patent landscapes.
Perform IP evaluations and due diligence for global pharmaceutical markets.
Prepare Freedom to Operate (FTO), validity/invalidity, and infringement reports.
Conduct patentability assessments, patent drafting, prosecution, and prior art searches.
Track critical patents, monitor new publications, and maintain updated IP databases.
Ensure timely completion of all patent-related tasks while maintaining high analytical standards.
Skills and Competencies Required
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and spoken English communication.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in patent search tools and databases.
Qualifications & Experience
Master’s Degree (M.Sc) in Organic Chemistry.
5–6 years of professional experience in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) related to Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API).
