About the Role

We are seeking an energetic and reliable Sr. Lab Support Specialist to join our Field Operations team. This role involves supporting daily laboratory operations, maintaining supply flow, and ensuring a seamless experience for both internal and external customers.


Key Responsibilities

Laboratory Operations

  • Receive and process incoming shipments; scan packing slips.

  • Collect and clean laboratory glassware using the glasswash machine.

  • Collect laboratory waste and operate the autoclave machine.

Customer Support

  • Manage customer communication primarily via email and occasionally by phone.

  • Collaborate with internal partners to resolve inquiries promptly and professionally.

  • Build trust through clear, responsive, and solution-oriented communication.

Process Improvement

  • Partner with supervisors and team members to identify and implement workflow enhancements.

  • Suggest and lead improvements that increase efficiency and organization.

Safety & Compliance

  • Maintain safety and cleanliness across all lab areas.

  • Follow site safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times.

Inventory Management

  • Monitor laboratory supply levels and proactively identify shortages.

  • Coordinate restocking and report any gaps that may affect operations.

Additional Duties

  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor to support laboratory needs.


Qualifications

  • Education:
    High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Experience:
    2–3 years of experience in a customer-facing, warehouse, retail stocking, or inventory-control environment preferred.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency with RF handheld scanners or mobile scanning applications.

    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Strong written and verbal English communication skills (especially via email).

    • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and collaborative team player.

    • Proactive, accountable, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.


Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Frequent lifting of 30–40 lbs; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.

  • Use of material-handling equipment such as pallet jacks, pushcarts, or forklifts (up to 100 lbs push/pull).

  • Prolonged standing, walking, bending, reaching, and other manual tasks.

  • Work in varied temperature settings (cold rooms, outdoor spaces, etc.).

  • Exposure to potential allergens (e.g., penicillin, tetracycline).

  • Required PPE may include lab coats, gloves, safety glasses, facemasks, and steel-toe shoes.

  • Ability to work overtime when needed.
